Differently Different As Different Can Be

From his bedroom window, nine-year-old Jimmy secretly gazes at neighborhood children enjoying a beautiful spring day at the park. Jimmy has always loved being outdoors. Racing his friends around the playground is one of his most favorite things to do. Lately, he's been feeling like he doesn't belong. Jimmy is certain that nobody wants to see him, so he is not brave enough to leave his bedroom. As days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months, Jimmy remembers how he loved singing while running towards a nearby hotdog stand. Suddenly, the thought of being different reminded him that he is too afraid and too embarrassed to face the place that really made him happy. Jimmy's solution: stay in his room, hide away from it all. One day, unlikely friendship and the power of kindness and laughter made Jimmy realize something he's never thought of before.
