The Journalist

A small town weekly paper becomes the central hub in an appalling scandal in The Journalist by Leslie Weatherill. Zoey has just graduated from Berkeley and her only job offer is to write obituaries for a small newspaper in Hampshire County. Not exactly the large, prestigious city newspaper she had in mind, or the exciting position she dreamed of, Zoey reluctantly takes the job. However, before she has time to get ink on her fingers, a horrifying discovery stuns the county. With the guidance of her wise boss, Zoey becomes part of an investigative team pivotal in exposing the issue. Through these experiences, Zoey grows in ways she never imagined and begins to feel a sense of belonging that complicates her dream of big city reporting.
